Megaquest 2.1.0 - More variety



Time for a Megaquest update! This one brings 73 new items, rebalances equipment and rule changes and, of course, fixes bugs!

The highlights of 2.1.0 are:

  • New Warrior episode 1 starting weapon - the Rapier!
  • Episode 5 Guild Banner and Challenger's Sacrifice are now offered as floor 2 rule changes!
  • All episode generators were populated with more items to make each run a new experience!

Full changelog:

  • Warrior now starts with a new weapon, Rapier (do damage, re-equip once on odd) in Episode 1
  • Populated most episode generators with more equipment
  • Guild Banner and Challenger's Sacrifice were removed and now appear as the first floor rule choices in the 5th episode
  • Frog rule now applies to enemies as well
  • Equalizer now also counts the inserted dice
  • Ultimate Spell now requires only 1 dice to cast from the spellbook
  • 6th character Backup card now also appears as a level up reward in the 5th episode of the 6th character
  • Coinflip now either gives or takes 1 gold on use, also returns the dice and isn't once per battle
  • Increased the amount of weapons on Witch Episode 2
  • Enemies now can heal by attacking shields in Warrior Episode 3 and with the Vacuum rule
  • Now you start with a Combat Stake (countdown 30) in Warrior Episode 3, which can't be weakened or shocked but can be silenced
  • Added a new title sprite for the menu screen
  • Added a _weakened version of Machine Learning (now the upgraded version resets to MAX2 instead of REQUIRE1 when weakened)
  • Added more ways to burn enemy dice in Warrior Episode 1 for the Gasoline synergy
  • Added more ways to freeze enemy dice in Thief Episode 1 for the Ice Magnet synergy
  • Added more items to Scabbard of Mysteries and Armor Kit item pools
  • Removed Silence from Sorceress rule as it doesn't work
  • Removed Crystalina, Aurora and Copycat from 6th character rule transformation pool
  • Removed Alchemist rule from Witch and 6th character
  • Removed Drake from Bigger Swords episode
  • Removed shrinkable equipment from Bigger Swords episode
  • Removed Kompuutah from Thief Episode 2
  • Removed Mimic rule from the floor 2 rule choice, moved it to a higher floor
  • Removed Missile Launcher from Robot Episode 1
  • Removed reuseable weapons from Wild Deck episode
  • Removed Low Priority from Robot Episode 1 because it has no synergy
  • Changed Super Snek's loadout to Midnight Charm + Fangs
  • Changed Refined Metal's function to "do 5 damage, activate another Refined Metal", slot changed to min4 (thanks to codyfun123 for yet another excellent idea)
  • Changed Dire Wolf rule to start from 6 Dire Curses and affect enemies
  • Changed Cornelius rule to trigger after the 6th turn instead of triggering right on the 6th turn
  • Changed Madison rule to "lose 12 gold, gain 1 fury for 12 turns"
  • Changed Pirate rule to "at the start of the boss fight, do 1 damage for each gold you have"
  • Changed Ice Machine to size 1, upgrade now increases slot range and weaken decreases it
  • Changed the swap behaviour in Jack of All Trades episode - if you or the enemy trades a big equipment, it gets swapped with two small items
  • Changed Afterburner's upgrade to size reduction
  • Renamed Slot Machine equipment to d99 to prevent issues with the existing Slot Machine skill
  • Fixed Inventor missing the Sentry Gun gadget in More Gun episode
  • Fixed Gunslinger and Telefrag working even when gadget level is 0
  • Fixed Medkit being assigned to a non-existent gadget "Renegeration"
  • Fixed Subtractula+ returning 2 dice
  • Fixed Singer rule healing the target if they have 0 hp
  • Fixed Copycat using the flipped dice too quickly after using Butterfly Knife, resulting in it having an unflipped value
  • Fixed Butterfly Knife adding 1 to the flipped dice when upgraded
  • Fixed The World taking a half of your health instead of a third
  • Fixed Shadow status effect description saying "take 2 damage" instead of 1
  • Fixed Inventor Episode 5 ending on the 6th floor after defeating an enemy
  • Fixed Rammy rule change never appearing
  • Fixed a crash caused by referencing a "UV Lights" item instead of "UV Rays"
  • Fixed a crash caused by referencing a "Surprise" item instead of "Surprise!"
  • Fixed a crash caused by referencing a "Terrible Key" item
  • Fixed Fangs' upgraded and downgraded versions not diving the input value by 2
  • Fixed Thief rule crashing on Witch when the stolen equipment doesn't fit
  • Fixed Inventor Episode 2 and Witch Episode 2 having the "after combat" effects trigger when you flee
  • Fixed Repulsion Armor crashing because it had too many slots for a size 1 item
  • Fixed Randomizer changing its' element every turn
  • Fixed Rusty Key being able to roll 0s
  • Buffed Energy Drink to boost Limit Break by 75%, weakened version increases by 50%
  • Buffed Jammed Cannon odds to 50%, added a visual cast direction
  • Buffed Flint and Steel to 3 burn
  • Buffed Grappling Hook to size 1 and min 3 slot
  • Buffed Quicksand to start stacking before turn instead of after turn
  • Buffed Lights Out to 1 dice cost for Witch spellbook cast
  • Buffed Sniper Rifle to triple damage
  • Buffed Weakpoint Detector to never inflict the same weakness
  • Buffed Step Back to max 5
  • Buffed Ricochet to size 1
  • Buffed Javelin to do 2 more damage
  • Buffed Throwing Axe to do triple damage
  • Buffed Toxin Sprayer to max4
  • Buffed Timebomb to 10 damage
  • Nerfed Buster rule trigger chance
  • Nerfed Trashcannon to require two dice that sum up to 6
  • Nerfed Lotech Wrench to size 2
  • Nerfed Throwing Axe to activate in 4 turns instead of 2
